About Penalty Challenge
A penalty shootout that runs in both directions: five kicks to score and five to save. Taking the goalkeeping half seriously is what separates this from the games that only let you shoot, and it is also where most matches are actually decided.
How to play
- Pick one of thirty-two teams.
- Take five penalties against the opposing keeper.
- Then face five as the keeper yourself.
- Play a tournament against the computer, or challenge somebody in online multiplayer.
Tips
- Goalkeeping here rewards a decision, not a reaction. Choose a side and live with being wrong sometimes rather than being caught halfway.
- Vary where you put your own kicks. Whether the opponent is a person or the computer, a repeated placement is the easiest thing in the game to read.
