Straight-line racing with a career attached. You start with nothing, race for money and for other people's cars, then spend both on making yours faster. Drag racing has no corners to hide behind, so results come out of the garage as much as out of the run.

How to play

• Race opponents over a straight drag strip.
• Winning earns money, and cars can be bought or won from the people you beat.
• Tuning and upgrading your car is how you keep pace as the opposition improves.
• The career runs from unknown outsider up to the top of the city's scene.

Tips

• Money spent on one car beats money spent on a second car early on. A single tuned machine will out-race two stock ones.
• Losses are cheap information. Note where the opponent pulled away and upgrade the part that failed, not the part that is cheapest.
